Edinburgh Common Riding

Posted by Xerophytes (London, United Kingdom) on 8 November 2009 in Lifestyle & Culture.

Edinburgh revived one of its oldest traditions - the Edinburgh Common Riding. The practice of Riding The Marches in Edinburgh dates back to 1579 and I'm lucky enough to witness this as it was held again this year (2009) for the first time since 1946.

Thank you very much for visiting my photoblog. If you could spare some more time, please do give any comments, constructive criticism, tips and suggestions that will help me become a better photographer. Rest assured that I read all comments and do reply back as much as I can, as often as I can, and as soon as I can.
